short simple quotes

Cell phones these days keep getting thinner and smarter… people the opposite. People say you cant live without love, but I think oxygen is more important. The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do. But there is a way to live a simple, joy-filled, peaceful life, and the key is learning how to be led by the Holy Spirit, not the traditions or expectations of man. Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart. But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. We […]

my samsung tv wont turn on

Recently my 3+ year old 40" Samsung LCD TV started taking a long time to start up, with several cycles of relays clicking.  In searching the net I found that others were having similar problems.  Apparently, Samsung's power supply on several LCD models was somewhat under-designed, with four capacitors that slowly fail over time and which leads to the symptoms in the title. I chose option 3, spending $15.00 for a Samsung repair kit (contains 4-1000 uF, 25V, 105 degree C capacitors and "instructions").  If you want to keep the costs to a minimum, you can order an appropriate set of capacitors from Digi-Key or Mouser for about $0.65 each + s/h. I called Samsung twice and found out that even though my TV is on the list, they can’t help me because I purchased my TV in 5/09 and also the class action lawsuit settlement ended 9/13. I was […]

one free credit report per year

By federal law, each of the 3 major credit bureaus is required to provide you with one free copy per year of your credit report upon request. You can then contact this credit bureau within 60 days using the information provided to obtain your free credit report. (This free report does not count as your annual free report.) If an item is changed or deleted, the credit reporting company cannot put the disputed information back in your file unless the information provider verifies that it is accurate and complete. Because nationwide credit reporting companies get their information from different sources, the information in your report from one company may not reflect all, or the same, information in your reports from the other two companies. After the information provider receives notice of a dispute from the credit reporting company, it must investigate, review the relevant information, and report the results back […]

best duet karaoke songs

As the lead single from her Timbaland-produced "Loose" album in 2006, the sexy, thumpy number was a far cry from the more earnest, quirky singles of her first two albums — including "I’m Like a Bird" and "Turn Off The Light." But sexy clearly worked, as the cheeky "Promiscuous" tune spent eight weeks lodged in the No. The Black Eyed Peas recently used the hook of Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes’ duet for their single "The Time (Dirty Bit)," but the words "I’ve had the time of my life" will forever be tied to the 1987 film "Dirty Dancing." The soft-rock hit closed out the Patrick Swayze-Jennifer Grey flick and won the 1987 Academy Award for Best Original Song. Phil Bailey, the longtime member of Earth, Wind & Fire, and former Genesis drummer Phil Collins came together for this 80s pop confection off Bailey’s 1984 album "Chinese Wall." Although the […]

best road bike under 1000

Interestingly, the small manufacturers seem to be able to offer higher spec and carbon seatposts, whereas the bigger name bike-manufacturers focus on technical improvements to the women’s road bike frame. When it comes to the best women’s road bike, all 10 of the steeds featured should be available to purchase under the Cycle to Work scheme, so if you’re struggling to stump the cash up front, don’t forget you’ve got an option. On top of carbon bladed forks, some bikes are even adorned with a carbon fibre seatpost to help absorb road buzz, and help reduce the weight – even by a small amount. Both offer reliable shifting with Shimano 105 often seen on race ready road bikes, so aim for a bike with as much of it on as possible. Most bike shops have sales in March or April that are perfect for bargain hunters, particularly if you want […]
