I've never heard a cholo being called Nacho.
As a teenager I was acquainted with some named Dopey, Travieso (means troublemaker), Little Clown, and Spooky (he really was), and there was probably a Dreamer and Sleepy in there too.
This user has arrived from Qype, a European company acquired by Yelp in 2012.
Again, I'm writing this story about a kind of gang, I guess.
Again, I'm writing this story about a kind of gang, I guess.
Anyways, I was hoping some of you might have some good nicknames for some of the members.
Also if you have any terms for things or something, I want to make that thugggish vibe in the story seem to make sense.
It's a story for school though, so don't think I'm posing or anything.
You may have heard of the Bowery Boys, a notorious New York street gang of the mid-19th century.
With a leader whose most noticeable feature was his humpback, this gang worked the Lower East Side.
Also known as the Charlton Street Gang, they specialized in robbing cargo ships.
A splinter group from the Roach Guard, this Irish gang fought hard against the Bowery Boys in over 200 battles.
This gang was headquartered near the Babbit Soap Factory on the Lower West Side.
During his days as a Bonanno underboss, the Cigar set up shop in Montreal, which was a key location for the French Connection, a narcotics network that smuggled heroin from France to the U.S. Galante became one of the Connection’s biggest buyers, and after a brief stint in prison on drug charges, Galante took over the Bonanno family and started making millions off his narcotics operation.
To supply his bars with booze, Diamond and his crew held up liquor trucks, and he was known for making quick getaways, earning him the nickname “Legs.” Maybe—there’s also the possibility that his moniker came from his mad dancing skills.
Gorilla,” and mobster Hisayuki Machii was called “The Ginza Tiger.” But perhaps the coolest Yakuza nickname belonged to mob boss Kazuo Taoka, head of the Yamaguchi-gumi, Japan’s largest criminal organization.
This trademark technique earned Taoka the nickname “Kuma,” Japanese for “The Bear.” The Bear quickly rose through the ranks of the Yamaguchi-gumi, becoming the oyabun (don) by the time he was 33.
Anyway, if you’re going to go into the business of crime (and we’re not saying “Joey Cupcakes” is in that business) then you need yourself a nice nickname, one that people and, more importantly, the press, will remember.
For our money, we believe “Joey Cupcakes.” For two reasons: (1) With a nickname like that, dollars to donuts he would stand up for a dame in distress and (2) His lawyer is the great Murray “Don’t Worry” Richman.
That would be Joseph “Joey Cupcakes" Urgitano, charged with taking a metal baseball bat and doing a number on two men who were harassing a woman on West 14th Street in New York City in August.
Ciro was a turn of the century gangster who knew how to turn a profit: He would buy California artichokes for $6 a crate and then sell them in New York City at a 40% mark-up.
His sillier nickname came about because of a severe case of chicken pox he suffered as a child, that left his face scarred and marked.
Understanding the basic elements of Sureno graffiti can help communities determine the gangs that operate in their area, can help police identify active gang members, and can assist all parties involve to intervene in gang rivalries before they become violent.
While the elements of graffiti outlined above will help to identify the name of a varrio, its boundaries, the part of town where it can be found, and one or more of its members, another important element still remains; overt signs of rivalry and disrespect between gangs.
Other geographic references common in Sureno gang graffiti as well as other gang graffiti includes the gang’s side, or which portion of the city, town, or area they claim.
In other cases, multiple nicknames are an indication of which members frequent the immediate area where the graffiti is located, the members who were present when the graffiti was created, or a show of strength and intimidation in the form of a gang roll call.
A common example of this in Sureno gang graffiti is the practice of writing the letter N backwards as a sign of disrespect to Norteno gangs in general.
Directional arrows found in Sureno gang graffiti can help identify where territory begins, in what direction territory can be found, or whether or not the graffiti is within the territorial boundaries.
In most cases, a Sureno gangs name is represented in graffiti through abbreviations instead of the full name of the gang.
Many times, Sureno gang graffiti will contain the nickname of one or more members of the particular varrio.
With the elements of Sureno gang graffiti outlined above, it is possible to immediately identify a gang as being Sureno-affiliated by the presence of the number 13, the word Sureno, or one of the commonly used variations of either.
Signs of disrespect that have been incorporated into Sureno graffiti such as transposed, reversed, or inverted letters, can indicate ongoing rivalries with other gangs.
Once nicknames have been located in gang graffiti, the investigating officer should make an effort to contact local patrol and narcotics officers, who may very well be able to provide real names and other information that corresponds to the nicknames.
Since each gang can have its own unique symbolism and items of significance, this chapter will concentrate on the basics of gang graffiti as it relates to Sureno gangs in particular.
DO you do "Eventz"? Maybe within the gang but like WTF? My guild name is Trick, cool name, not some stupid guilds like PIayer PeIations or Game Coordinator (especially when they are just random players).
Gangs use unique forms of writing, colors, symbols, and hand signs to identify themselves and create a senseof unity within their groups.

According to the description released by Warner Brothers, she’s playing Fish Mooney, a “sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner” with “almost extra-sensory abilities to read people like an open book.” Officially, this is a wholly original character.
But Cobblepot will (probably) grow up to be the Penguin…and, as commenter MichaelSacal pointed out, “Penguins eat fish.” Easy money says that Mooney will be the main villain of season one, but will eventually suffer a hostile takeover from Cobblepot.
White and Mooney share aquatic nicknames, and assuming that the long game of Gotham is to show how a typical broken-down city evolves into a nightmare city, perhaps Mooney will spiral into insanity and become the sort of semi-inhuman villain that bedevils Batman.
After riding around on his hog for a bit, black-clad Mr Putin, 58, boarded a Soviet-era warship in the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, as part of a festival to mark the city’s liberation during the Second World War.
Man in black: Mr Putin speaks to the crowd in Novorossiysk, where he took part in a festival to mark the city’s liberation during the Second World War.
Mr Putin’s United Russia party is hoping to secure a two-thirds majority in December’s vote for the Duma lower house of parliament – a margin that would give it the power to change the constitution.
I was in the KGB, you know: Mr Putin looks remarkably relaxed as he faces Alexander Zaldostanov, the imposing leader of the Night Wolves.
Switzerland has 30% rate of gun ownership, much more than Canada, and they have a 0.52 per 100 000 homicide rate compared to Canada at 1.5. Also, if you look at gun related homicide in Canada and the USA you will notice the overwhelming majority of murders involves illegally owned gun from gang related activity, gun control will not and does not stop this.
I first was exposed to gang life when I was really a young girl because one of my cousins who lived in the low ends of the city of Chicago came to live with me and my parents while he went to high school.
It began small, a few battalions being called away from international duty to police the streets of Rome, given the directive to end all gang activity using whatever force deemed necessary.
In the first half of 2014 a US high school teacher announced his intention to add Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy nominated ‘Good Kid Maad City’ album to his syllabus in an attempt at highlighting how the Compton-bred artist uses wordplay to tell a story about the drug culture and gang activity that ran through his home town.
Overtime the city had bypassed Los Angeles in the gang related crime activity, taking the title for the United States’ gang capital.
Believe it or not, coming from the city of Chicago draws me to gang life (not in a negative way, but all in all, it does intrigue me greatly.) I have family members who claimed gang lives (of course Chicago gangs).
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first “gang” related story I’ve written BUT it is the first gang related story pertaining to the gangs and ghettos of Los Angeles, California.
He began to make business with new people and recruit others to his gang.Ethan recruited some of California’s dangerous men and women, getting ready for a war.
I really felt that the part or dream with Abel being featured as a young gang member from Los Angeles was both very creative, realistic, well-written, and interesting.
