hair one

Hello! This is a quick review telling you a little about Wen Hair Care and Hair One (similar hair products) and how they have effected my hair! I hope you enjoy and leave your questions and/or video requests in the comment section.

Has anyone who’s tried Wen also tried Hair One–the Sally’s Beauty Supply Wen alternative at a fraction of the price? Please give reviews if so.

I used WEN for a few months and absolutely loved it but like others hated the price… I found the HAIR ONE by mistake today in Sallys and its the exact same stuff.
I the way the Hair One makes my hair feel…I also use it on my girls hair, four little girls! The fact that I can go and pick up the hair cleanser is a definate bonus, instead of paying shipping and waiting for it to come in the mail.
(Just a sidenote : I never heat style or color my hair, yet using regular shampoos & conditioners stripped my hair to death.

Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Amodimethicone, CID 157846, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Rosa Roxburghii Fruit Extract, Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Menthol, Polysorbate 60, Citric Acid, BHT, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Hexylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum).
Available in four formulations, Hair One Cleansing Conditioner is made with an elixir of natural herbs and oils that clean with astringent and antibacterial properties through a luxurious, penetrating cream without the stripping of detergents.
I love how healthy and thick my hair feels after using this product.
Introducing Hair One … a salon quality product that provides a new all natural approach to hair care and hair detox that leaves hair cleansed, conditioned and in optimum shape.
I’ve been using this product for about two years and can definitely tell a difference in how healthy my hair is.
Hair One Argon Cleanser Conditioner I love this product.

Normally my hair would just turn into a giant wedge of frizz! Now I'm diffusering and using some natural gel and am good to go--this stuff is a MIRACLE product! I follow the directions very carefully, scrub the longest possible recommendations, and I even time myself to make sure I do everything long enough.
Even though my ends are terrible and I need a cut badly, this really keeps my 3B curls together, and since I have started using this product I've noticed my second day hair is a lot less "bed-heady".

I had absolutely NO problems with this! My hair is probably a 2c, but it is so COURSE (especially for a white girl), and the frizz!! After one week of use (no shampoo what so ever, no product, either) I finally let my hair air dry on the weekend.
I have been using this product for the last few months and notice a big change in my hair.

Jojoba Hair One INGREDIENTS: Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearly Alcohol, Amodimethicone, Glycerine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butylene Glycol (and) Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Rosa Roxburghii Fruit Extract, Propylene Glycol (and) Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Persea Gratissima Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Menthol, Panthenol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, BHT, Polysorbate 60, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA,1,2 Hexanediol (and) Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Fragrance.
Cucumber Aloe Hair One INGREDIENTS: Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearly Alcohol, Amodimethicone, Glycerine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butylene Glycol (and) Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Persea Gratissima Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Menthol, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Panthenol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, BHT, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Polysorbate 60, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA,1,2 Hexanediol (and) Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Fragrance.

I wish they would make it a year-round option! I've been rationing it out…I wash my hair in one of the other scents and use the Mango/coconut has my final leave in pump.
I also use the deep conditioning mask, replenishing mist, styling pomades and gel – basically, I have the whole sha-bang! When I first got my kit, I got the volumizing spray as well…FYI-relaxed, thick, ethnic hair doesn't need extra volume.
I do get upset with them b/c they do not take their auto drafts on the same day each month…I'm kinda fed up with the auto drafts, but everytime I think about cancelling…I remember how much my daughters and my hair loves WEN.
Thank you for this post! I am going to try Hair One first because of the price but I may eventually put the money out for WEN.
Even with the effort Hair One put in by including these oils, I still get the feeling that WEN is a more "natural" product compared to it’s rival.
I used the Fig for the first time, and I have spent hours trying to comb out the tangles and pull apart the knots (yes, knots) in my hair.
So over all, I feel like WEN Fig has an edge over Hair One when I compare the products side by side.
I think i'll give it a try but since I've never heard of Hair One, i'll see if i can find that too.
In this corner we have Hair One coming in at only $11.00! Plus because it is sold at Sally’s, you can easily take advantage of random sales and discount offers which can further lower the price.
I'm still loving WEN and haven't gone back to Hair One.
I’m just glad to have access to the original product line that inspired Hair One’s existence.
Hair One feels good to but, honestly, Fig feels better.
My hair feels like straw, dry ends, is frizzy, and feels dirty within one day.
So if you were to break it down to cost per ounces, Hair One is going for around $0.92 per ounce ($11.00/12 ounces).
I discovered Hair One last week & have used it twice & have received several compliments on how full & shiny my hair looks.
I will continue to use hair one because of price I wish it was sold in bulk though.
I felt I could make more sense of it’s ingredient list than with Hair One.
I use Hair One and will continue to because I can NEVER justify $36 for hair conditioner.
I was a long time user if WEN and recently switched to hair one only because I could no longer purchase WEN by the gallon.
I really like hair one but I am not crazy about the smell, to me it smells like men's cologne.
Thank you so much! I just discovered WEN and found out there was a cheaper knock-off called Hair One.
Either way this was a first round knock-out against Hair One – no competition.
another thing maybe you can add is how it feels in your hair, and maybe before and after pictures.
Yes my friends, it’s time for the battle of all battles, WEN vs Hair One.
Those of you familiar with this blog know that I’ve been signing the praises of Hair One for the longest.
Both cleanse the hair without stripping it of it’s natural oils etc.
Hair One appears to have a few ingredients that were harder to pronounce than WEN.
In fact, I made my youtube debut by doing a Hair One review.
Another strength of Hair One is how readily available it is compared to it’s contender.
My hair was much more manageable with a bottle of Suave from Dollar Tree.

I then found out about hair one and i love it! i use the argon oil one for curly hair , but i have frizzy dry and curly hair and that one product works fine for all! the one downside is i dont really like the smell of it , im sure the cucumber one smells great but the one for curly hair doesnt smell that good.
I even tried Loreal sulfate free products, which only left my scalp dry as usual and my hair was greasy after a short time of using it.
right now im using Nuka Chamomile Vanilla Leave in Conditioner and Detangler and it looks pretty well i guess but i want to try the triple moisture i hear some people like it and others hate it let see what it does to may hair 🙂 and moisture conditioner works wonders.
I’m curious to know which formula of Wen people are using when they are saying that the results are the same, I know Hair One has alcohols in it and I have not been able to try the real (non-infomercial) Wen, I did try some of the leftover from my mom-in- of the fake infomercial stuff and liked it, but could feel how much the alcohol dried my hair out and I won’t be using that again.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! my hair was short when i started using it and im now growing it out do see what the difference is before i cut it.
The Palmolive Naturals line shampoo&conditioners are now my faves ever and I plan that they will be my everyday go-to as they are of a normal shampoo/conditioner price and give great hair results right from the first wash.
i use hair one its amazing! i have colored hair and was using many other products.. now i dont need to my hair is silky not greasy its really a wonderful thing.
When I was growing out my hair I visited a forum site called the Long Hair Community, and the chicks on there were always raving about conditioner only washing and the other condition/wash/condition regime, which models supposedly use to remove hair styling products.
Price difference for me makes the decision since both products are great for my hair which I color and is naturally dry and frizzy.
I’ve also used the Cucumber Aloe but prefer the other scents I’ve tried 🙂 Before WEN I couldn’t wear my hair down without blow drying it and sometimes even having to flat iron it to get it to look smooth.
However, I have tried Wen and I love it! I couldn’t remember the last time my hair was so so soft.
I tried the olive oil formula for dry hair, while I love the mint in it , my hair still feels dry.
I love how good my hair feels and looks but alas the price has me looking for a replacement.
MY hair is colored purple and it kept the color in for over 2 months (i you color you know it comes out within a few weeks)! when i went to a wedding i let my mother borrow it and i used a regular shampoo.
I tried this product and found it to be comparative to WEN in terms of conditioning my hair.
Loreal’s sulfate free products are awful! They dried my hair out and are worse than my shampoo with sulfate.
Both of these products are sulfate free, which means there are no harsh detergents that strip hair of its moisture and color.
And my hair product store even has a leave in conditioner like the wen product that is in the round contrainer.
Haven’t tried either yet, but I’m leaning toward a Hair One experiment (mostly because the horses have eaten all my money ;o) This lens is timely and informative, and gave me some additional things to think about.
I haven’t used Wen but I have hair one and I am sold!!! I love the stuff and plan on going back to Sally’s to purchase all of them (I have the olive oil now).
The only thing that bugs me is that the REAL Wen (google Chaz Dean, not Wen, and go to the products section on the website), not the trywen.com stuff, has absolutely no alcohols in it where as Hair One does.
I recently brought the "Hair One" and it is a lot thicker than the Wen so you have to add more water to your hair during your wash, smells like it has perfume, and it’s a lot cheaper, drying my hair took a lot longer time then Wen and my hair wasn’t as soft as with Wen.
I’ve been growing out my natural hair for two and a half years, and once I finally chopped off enough of the relaxed stuff and stopped flat ironing, I struggled to find a hair routine that left me happy with my look each day.
I did feel that my hair was more "fuzzy" with Hair One (I live in humid southwest Florida), and had to use a flat iron product to smooth it down.
Hair One has a new Argan Oil version out for curly hair, and it’s exactly what I needed! Some people on Amazon complain about the smell, but I think it’s lovely and it makes my scalp tingle.
Haven’t tried the Wen, too expensive, but I have just started on Hair One Jojoba.
I have been using Hair One for more than a year and loved the results.
I have heard so much talk about this "Hair One" and how it’s the same as Wen but cheaper!! Well I’m a Wen user and I have never used a Cleansing product that is any better than Wen.
I would buy Hair One if I was low on money but would never leave Wen, and, I’m with Chaz Dean, if you go and pay $9.99 for your hair product you will get a $9.99 product.
My hair felt as clean as when using WEN, and the Jojoba fragrance was nice.
I don’t use either – I tried several conditioners just to find my hair greasy and hard to comb through.
So far I have not noticed any help for my frizzy ends (not sure whether the frizz was caused by the color I put on my hair or my lack of vitamins after gastric surgery).
i started using hair one because i always wanted to try WEN but couldn’t afford it.
This is one I have not tried, but it supposed to be fabulous for adding moisture without weighing the hair down or stripping it of natural oils.
I decided to look for a standard hair care line that produces value hair products that I can use everyday to revive my shiny hair.
There is Sweet Almond Mint which is a universal conditioner for all hair types.

In the past I was hesitant to even spend $15 on a hair product, but since I had such great results with the other cleansing conditioner I decided it was worth it.
Works pretty good, but I have very long hair and I find myself using a substantial amount of product to get the desired effect.
My use of Hair one: I wet my hair let it satuate with just water for 2-3 minutes, then I started to apply the Hair One, at first it just didn’t feel right because I’m used to a lather.
It wasn’t until my brother, who is a hair dresser, saw what i was using and explained to me the problem, and why i needed to switch to this Hair One shampoo, and its a really simple reason.
I’ve been looking for years for a natural shampoo that would make my hair calm down.
I would have never thought I would pay $11.99 for a bottle of hair cleanser, but I would definately recommend this product.
This product healed my dandruff immediately and helped .my hair thicken up a little bit, but it’s not at all convenient.
So with Hair One being Sulfate free, its a lot less harsh, and it has finally helped me manage my dry scalp issues.
I have been using HAIR ONE for about 2 years now.
If you have never tried Wen you could fall in love with Hair One because it is still a million times better than traditional shampoo.
This is the greatest product I’ve ever used for my hair.
It has been about 6 months since I’ve had my hair cut and I was really starting to need it.
(I am a black woman, with full shoulder length, permed hair with a semipermanant rinse) who wants to make and keep my hair healthier.
But my hair was much more tangeled when wet and felt drier after using a blowdryer.
After I had it all in there and finally combed it through, I felt the sensation of the tingles and the metomophsis of my hair going from dry and lifeless to hydrant and smooth to the touch.

Aqua (Water) (Eau), Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Parfum (Fragrance), Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Hydroxyisoheyxl-3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Amyl Cinnamal, Eugenol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Panthenol, Quarternium-80, Silk Amino Acids, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Propylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone.
I recently started trying another product which is also good, but am going back to this because I see my hair reverting to the damaged state again.

Wen is great in my book, but it’s too expensive to keep up with, and after I stopped using it, my hair was very reluctant to go back to a normal shampoo and conditioner combo.
The L’Oreal just doesn’t cut it for my thick hair, and the Hair One isn’t worth using with it’s potentially harmful ingredients.
My hair is healthier and has grown longer than I have been able to grow in many years, I have a hard time rinsing it out and sometimes my hair doesn’t look clean enough to me.
The deal came with Sweet Almond Mint and Pomegranate scents and according to the Web site, they have different effects on different types of hair, but I really couldn’t tell a difference after using both.
Personally, I wouldn’t purchase EverCreme again simply because it doesn’t agree with my thick, dyed hair, and I find myself having to wash more frequently.
I had sticker shock initially but after using for a short time I realized I did not have to cleanse my hair as often, therefore, the product lasts me quite a long time.
A little background on my hair: I used to dye my hair ALL the time, and after an incident with a bottle of bleach blonde, I began growing my hair out and stopped dying it.
I’ve wanted to write about the no-poo hair care trend for a while now, and I’ve finally tried enough products to give my well-rounded opinion on the topic.

For my one hundredth review, I shall be the first to review Hair One! What started as a walk-in barber shop started by three Vietnamese sisters has grown into a barber shop and hair salon where you can get the whole make-up, haircut and styling you'd want for a wedding or prom dance.
I have a private barber and she has the hands of a whiz! I'm actually pretty picky about my hair, before, the barbers always cut my hair too short, and it killed me! But ever since I started getting my hair cut at hair one they do it the way I want.
A friend recommended Hair One, and I'm so thankful because this salon was a wonderful discovery! Kim is a true professional, not to mention sweet and funny.

On days when I wasn’t feeling good about my hair choices, I could have checked out beauty sites like Curly Nikki and read essays, testimonials, and all-around encouragement from women who straight-up adored their hair.
The natural hair movement online celebrates all textures, reassuring women that they don’t need a relaxer in order to get a date, a job, or confidence.
And it’s spurring change: Relaxer sales are down to historically low numbers and there are whole shelves at Target dedicated to natural hair care products.
Soon, hopefully, Lupita Nyong’o won’t be one of the only natural-haired women in magazines or on screen, and damaging phrases like "good" and "bad" hair will be a thing of the past.
The online hair community is undoubtedly great for women like me who are natural or considering going natural.

One thing I have to say about these type of "shampoos", when you use them you have to remember they are cleaning all the by product left in your hair by years of regular shampoo and conditioner.
So why would this product, that’s made for dry hair, leave my roots clean, soft and shiny but my ends, the driest part of my hair, feeling greasy, coated, dull and icky? I totally don’t get it.
There’s been a lot of buzz about lather-free, sulfate-free hair cleansers lately, so when I saw the Hair One Hair Cleanser and Conditioner at Sally Beauty recently, and noticed they had trial-size packets, I knew I had to buy one and give this product a whirl.
So…what did my hair feel like when I got out of the shower? It sort of reminded me of the feeling and texture that I would get from using a basic shampoo with a basic conditioner (not a conditioner for very dry hair, but a regular conditioner).
At first I was washing once a week and combing through regular conditioner daily for detangling, but my hair would be totally weighed down with product by day 3, and the residue in my bathtub from all that conditioner was certainly less than desirable.
But I do have one more trial-sized packet–maybe I should do what you do and use it like a normal shampoo and follow with conditioner? Or maybe it's just really awesome for super thick and curly hair, and not so much for fine, oily, wavy hair.
The bottle also says depending on your hair length you should use more product so i think thats the problem for you I say give it another shot maybe by 2 trial size packs instead of a bottle just in case you still don't like it then you've only invested 4 bucks.
but I also have pretty short hair..about chin length, and I'm pretty sure you need use A LOT of product to get the full effect.
I shampoo it about twice a week unless I have a lot of product in my hair or have worked out and I sweat. If you have dry and /or curly hair, you shouldn't wash your hair everyday anyway.
It maximizes cleaning by distributing the oils in your hair, plus makes it very easy to comb conditioner through your hair, as long as you're easy on your hair when you lather your shampoo :).
I used as many pumps as I needed until my hair felt saturated, then combed through, then applied a little more because the comb I was using would pull some of the product out of my hair.
This is perfect for my needs, doesn't pull color, softens the gray without making the fine hair limp, and can cleanse moulding clay out of my hair without making my scalp feel like I just used a floor stripper to wash it.
Hair One is a line of sulfate-free haircare products with the main concept being a combination cleanser and conditioner that does not lather.
Finally it was time to rinse, and the directions make it very clear that you must rinse for 1-2 minutes by massaging your scalp and running your fingers through your hair from roots to ends.
I love this product! I have cut my hair very short and it is thick, coarse and very curly since I am of a mixed caucasian/ African American heritage.
I don't think there is going to be years of residue in hair that is constantly growing, being color treated, trimmed, and shampooed.
I started the transition from relaxed to natural two and a half years ago, and Hair One with Argan Oil for curly hair is the best thing I've used thus far.
I haven't heard anyone say anything about how often you end up having to wash your hair when using this product.
I think given the length of your hair the trial size pack wasn't enough of the Hair One Product to give you a true cleansing of the Hair One.
If you are talking about chlorine, hard water, conditioners and treatments having an effect on your hair, that is another issue and I don't think years of residue is the case.
I went to sally beauty supply the other week and picked up a little sample packet of hair one and I instantly loved it…so I bought an entire container for like 11 dollars and I love it.
I am a bit scared that it will tangle again when I'm lathering my shampoo (I'm so darn hard on my hair!) but I will try to be as gentle as possible and see how that works.
Nevertheless, I was determined to use this product exactly as directed, so I started with fully saturating my hair with water and went from there, following every direction above to a "T".
Our hair looked, felt like we had used regular shampoo, but it wasn't as soft or shiny as I had anticipated.
While talking with the manager I asked if she could recommend a product which would cleanse my hair without pulling the color out.
The hair near my scalp is still shiny and feels clean, but my ends feel…greasy, and they are not shiny at all.
I bought the Hair One cleanser for normal hair and it completely dried my hair out at the ends and I would up looking super greasy.
I should start out by saying I have very fine hair that tangles in an instant! I have not color treated my hair in years so my hair is very natural, and it is barely past my shoulders in length.
I've used wen hair conditioner and it is actually the only hair cleanser my son can use.
Considering that my hair is very long (it goes to just below my bra strap), any product I apply takes effort.
So I recently tried the Hair One products because shampoo make me itch like crazy.
Today was the first time I tried Hair One and while I wasn't sure what to expect, I was very pleasantly surprised with the great results.
So, armed with my trial packet of Hair One Cleanser and Conditioner for Dry Hair ($1.50 at Sally Beauty), I decided to give this experiment a try.
I purchased the dry hair formula and proceeded much like I would wash my hair with shampoo except I did not rinse out the final application.
I have never used a Wen product, but when I went to Sally's and the lady there said Hair One is supposed to be comparable I gave it a try.
I have used it now for a couple months and it seems to be working just as good.anytime you switch hair products you have to give it some time to work.
If you add up the minutes required for each step in the cleansing process, you need to be in the shower for a total of 11 minutes, and that’s just for washing and rinsing your hair.
I felt like my hair was almost sticky with the tea tree version but it just feels soft and healthy with the normal hair version (cucumber).
Will probably keep the hair one tea tree cleanser for once a month, and use the As I am cowash as a daily cleanser during the week if we need to wash our hair.
I have very long, thick hair, but I've never had trouble getting a comb through.
after using the shampoo my hair seems to be really soft and manageable.
After watching many, many demos of Wen products on QVC, I knew I had to try this affordable version (for the record, I have never tried any products by Wen, and I am in no way comparing Hair One products to Wen products in this review).
This is the last thing I have washed my hair with and I loved it! When I use to live on the east coast I would use just baking soda and apple cider vinegar to wash my hair and it worked great.
The trial pack is a small amount it did the job for me but I like to research my products as well before i give them a try and when you by the big bottles out of hair one it tells you 8 pumps for the crown of your hair 8 pumps for your nape and then like 10-12 for the midsection.
My daughter has large curls (semi wavy hair) and it is normal (not too thick or thin) and I have the same texture hair, just a very loose wave.
What I noticed about applying this product to the hair was that it took A LOT of effort.
While using this, your body will still be producing extra oils for your hair, thinking it still needs to because that's what it's used to doing.
I LOVE IT! I got the olive oil formula and my hair came out so great that my childrens daycare thought I had just been at the salon and had it professionally styled.
I am on my 2nd day after washing and my hair still feels fine, the same as if i used shampoo.
I've seen the wen hair infomercials and I've always always always wanted to try it, but it's so freaking expensive.
I agree that the product will affect everyone's hair differently.
My hair is color treated, baby fine, thin and just touches my shoulders so I chose the color treated variety of Hair One.
My hair is horribly hard to detangle with just conditioner in it so I don't think this will be fun at all.
I ran across Hair One in Sally's and decided to try the color safe products.
I too found that it was very difficult to comb through so the next morning I brushed my hair before jumping in the shower.
By the end of the day I needed to shampoo 2x just to get my hair back to normal.
If you have the patience for it, and don't mind having a few bad hair days, or even hat days, it is well worth it.
I don't know what's causing it, but it might have something to do with the texture of the hair shaft.
She told me about "one" for color treated hair.
How did my hair look after I styled it? Well, I used my blow-dryer and a round brush, and when all was said and done, I was pleased with the shine of my hair (shiner than usual) and the texture of my hair felt light and bouncy.
I tried the Hair One with tea tree oil for dry scalp, it worked okay.
I do all of this as soon as I get in the shower, then I use a hair clip after combing to pin my hair up while I finish the rest of my shower, washing, shaving, etc.
My (pardon the pun) hair-brained theory is that the hair shaft is smooth from the root until you get to the ends, where the hair suffers more wear and tear and is rougher.
I'm new to hair one as well but i like it a lot and my hair is relaxed short bob cut.
Maybe the one for color treated hair would be better as it might be more gentle? Who knows.
kellie: I love the way it smells too, but I just couldn't get it to work on my type of hair.
But since Hair One doesn’t lather, and it doesn’t have a lot of slip, it was difficult to get it down into the roots and scalp area and then along the back of my head.
Have any of you used Hair One products before? I’m hoping they work wonders for some of you, but as of now, they just aren’t cutting it for me.
(so as not to accidentally rinse it out) Last thing to do before getting out is take your hair down and rinse.

Was already dyeing partial sections of hair with Special Effects hair dye, saw this, did it: hair into two low pigtails, applied dye from desired length down to tips (precision not required).

If, however, you’re on a reality-TV survival show and all you have is a tube of the white stuff, a couple of million viewers, and a blemish, a dab on your dot will work.
However, gentle brushing―a few strokes here and there―will make hair shine by distributing the natural oils from the scalp down the hair shafts and flattening the cuticles to make them reflect more light.
More significant, light brushing removes impurities and stimulates blood flow to the scalp, which nourishes hair follicles and keeps them healthy.
