how to buy cars in gta 5

Don't park your standard car in the garage! If you do that, the standard car will hog up space which could've been used for storing another car.
Going near the helipad, the game gave me the option to "switch helicopters" with the right DPad, however, the only choice available was the Frogger.
I landed nearby, since the spot was already taken by another Frogger, however, before this mission, the helipad was empty: this was my first time flying a helicopter.
Should you ever lose your standard car, you will always find it close to your garage, unless it's already parked inside.
No other garage so far has given me that option, and I do not know how to add more helicopters to the spawning option.
After the IAA abduction mission, I flew back to Trevor’s airfield/helipad storage area with the Frogger helicopter from said mission.

Didn't expect this video to become so popular and I've been asked where the garage is located.

I stole a number of motorcycles and put as much money as possible into them and I crash, or leave it for a mission or it get's destroyed there is a good chance it won't return even if you have had it in your garage, I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not, but it is really frustrating.

Heres what I have tested myself, so far Idk about cars you get on the street, but I KNOW that if you get the characters car, such as Trevors beat up truck or Frankys nice looking car or bike, adn you customize them, the customization will stay with the vehicle and itll always respawn, may take some time if you wreck it but it will respawn, I spent a lot of money customizing Frankys car and Ive left it random places and destroyed it and it always comes back.
Michael’s garage is in Vinewood, Franklin’s garage in Grove Street, and Trevor’s garage is in Pillbox Hill (check map for a garage icon when the respective character is active).
The "purchase this garage" option will trigger when the character approaches the garage door, and will ask you to push "Right" on the D-Pad twice to confirm the purchase.
I just don’t know exactly what menu or whatever you need to do so.. I don’t much fancy spending a lot of money for customizing a car then either A lose it from starting a mission or B having it sit in the garage doing nothing, to keep it from disappearing, but making it so I can’t use it much.
aekDropSoup: what do you mean ‘buy’ the garage? I’m on Trevor trying to save a vehicle in the orange garage but when I enter it there is no ‘buy’ option, also when ever I leave a vehicle in the garage it just sits there, then I tested if when it exploded if it would still be there an it’s gone.
So far, it is verified that Michael has his garage in Vinewood, and Franklin has his garage in Grove Street (check map when character is active).

The impound will only store two cars, and any random car you leave somewhere will be taken there.
I went to the impound with Michael to get his car back, and it gave me the choice of 2 cars.
Just make sure you don’t leave your cars in the impound.
So if you have two cars in the impound, and you leave your favourite car somewhere, there is nowhere for it to go.
It seems to me you have to make sure you always take your cars out from the impound.
Had a stolen supercar, can’t even remember it’s name but customized it to the max and held it in Michael’s house’s garage for like 10 hours, then went on a mission with it (the one where you fly back to the snowy place where the game starts), left it in a parking lot of the airfield and after the mission it’s nowhere to be found.
I modded a car I stole & every time I leave it somewhere it always gets taken to the impound.
Some people bought cars, walked five feet away, and their cars disappeared forever.
Also does the car remain in the impound forever or does it eventually dissapear.
It’s been five years since the release of Grand Theft Auto IV, and during that time, Rockstar was able to sit and think about exactly what they’d want to include in the fifth installment of their game when it premiered at the tail end of this console generation.
Obviously Mass Effect is not a sandbox like these other games, but for me it’s still the best character interaction I’ve seen in any game series.
I’m not saying that Grand Theft Auto 5 should have taught Franklin, Trevor and Michael kung-fu, but having what essentially amounts to a two button hand to hand combat system feels a bit weak.
What if at level three sneak, you no longer set of car alarms when stealing parked cars? What if at level five shooting, your other characters gained Michael’s slo-mo power? Things like that, which actually have a real impact on gameplay.
There was a time when Saints Row was learning all its lessons from Grand Theft Auto, but I think the time has come where it’s starting to be the other way around.
You’ll need to save a decent amount of money to be successful online, and wasting it on expensive clothes or outrageous cars is a big risk considering most things are open for other players to steal.
Completing missions with others can win you decent cash and rank points, but players always have the option to rob each other before or after a job session ends.
(Yeah, I know: Why buy a car when they’re so easy to steal? I was hoping that I could get Franklin something zippier than his default car, to customize and keep.) After being informed that the car had been delivered, I came home to find that same sedan stored there, but no sports car.
According to Rockstar support, players should avoid using the game’s garages as they look into fixing a bug that causes cars and car-upgrades to mysteriously vanish.

For my part, I encountered the bug after ordering a $250,000 sports car off of the in-game internet while I had another, less expensive car stored in my garage.
In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades.

As part of the mission “The Wrap Up” you’ll be given access to a Canins Mesa in order to escape a shoot-out.
Alternatively if you’re at the “edge” of some cover, press left or right as appropriate.
I modded a comet to the tune of $100k, and usually the game is pretty good at keeping your vehicle safe during a mission, a few times I’ve had it so I drove a vehicle to a mission, and the mission took me somewhere else, and at the end of it my vehicle was waiting for me at the end point, different than where I’d left it.
There’d be no real point for a garage if customized vehicles are saved forever, other than an area to just keep the vehicle from being impounded.
1) Saved/Purchased cars in an owned garage will not permanently spawn in that garage.
I thought he was saying that cars would actually disappear from your garage, which is what prompted the question.
If you lose it on a mission or something- get to the impound lot ASAP to reclaim it, and re-save it in a garage.
The point of the garage is the same as older games, to "save" a vehicle in that whilst its in there it won’t disappear or go anywhere.
After a major heist, I figured Franklin would buy himself a nice new Lamborghini (I forget what it’s called in the game), so I bought one, drove it out of the garage, and into a shop, where I fully modded it.
It’s an option that will surely be employed by 0.1% of GTA Online users, but you could always wait for the second half the stimulus package and save up for a top end property, or else just leave yourself enough to cash to be able to claim on the insurance for all those cars you’ve totalled trying to land them on helicopters.

Rockstar Games today announced that the next major free update for Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer mode for Grand Theft Auto V, will launch next week and bring with it a host of new downloadable content.
All new vehicles and weapons from the Business Update will be available to players in both Story Mode and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Though my biggest issue has been the removal of my favourite game type (Coops n’ Crooks… why!?), and the other server options to find a room are terrible, you can’t even choose GTA race over regular race, or setup a death-match and actually choose the level to play on.. you have to start the lobby from that area on the map, it’s just tedious design in so many ways.
Rockstar Games announced this content in December, teasing that upcoming expansions for the game will launch in 2014 and continue the story of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor.
You spend half the time in a lobby (even replaying a game with the same people takes a lot of time) and you never feel immersed in the world because you’re teleported back and forth between different servers and different "game modes".
I got it for free on PSN+ and Have been having more fun with that game and their heist, then I’ve had with this game, doing the same mission layouts and getting the same car or drugs for the same people, over and over, and over, and over, and over again.
As soon as I realized I had to pay every time I want to drive a different car in peace, I was done… When I tried it again in good faith and realized you have to pay for every race you start, I just gave up and traded my game in.
Grand Theft Auto Online’s Business Update will also introduce two new weapons: the Heavy Pistol and the Special Carbine.
