Very interesting lens! I’m curious as to whether or not hummingbirds ever become habituated to the sugar water in the feeder to the exclusion of feeding on plant nectar.
It is also recommended to have more than 1 feeder up and have them spaced apart if possible as the male hummingbirds get territorial and will guard the feeders they decide are "theirs" and not allow other birds to feed at them, especially other males.

Very nice lens — thank you for emphasizing that dyes shouldn’t be added to hummingbird feeders; however, your point might be more effective if the sugar water in many of the photos you feature wasn’t red! Just thought that was interesting.
They would pull the little yellow flower off the feeder and drink the nectar like water! We had to move the feeders so they couldn’t get to them but then they weren’t as close for us to enjoy.
I’ve been using this nectar recipe for years, but I freeze a cup of it and each time I refill (daily usually – we live in OK), I drop a couple cubes of the frozen nectar into the feeder.

hummingbirds are very territorial, in fact my hummingbird last season [we called him Henry] ruled the roost, he would sit in a branch about 2-3′ from the feeder during the day and keep watch and chase others away.
